Diverse gameplay with challenging boss battles in Mega Man X³
Mega Man X3 for the SNES is an excellent addition to the Mega Man X series for me and stays true to the action-packed platform experience the series is known for. It offers challenging gameplay, tight controls, and an impressive degree of variety in both enemies and environments. In this third installment, you once again take control of X, but this time it's also possible to play briefly as Zero, which provides a nice change and alters the dynamics of the series for the first time.

Graphically, Mega Man X3 makes the most of the SNES hardware, with detailed sprites, smooth animations, and vibrant backgrounds. The music remains epic and energetic, fitting the intense battles and fast-paced platform action. The difficulty level is high, as you would expect from the Mega Man series, but with the right upgrades and strategies, it remains fair and won't frustrate you. I find it really impressive how they maintain the tension without it feeling unfair.
