Charming Looney Tunes humour with frustrating controls
Bugs Bunny: Rabbit Rampage for the Super Nintendo (SNES) is a charming yet hit-and-miss platformer that captures the classic Looney Tunes humour quite well. In my opinion, the premise of the game is very enjoyable; Bugs Bunny is trying to regain control from a cartoonist who is getting in his way. This concept leads to plenty of hilarity and results in creative situations where the world and enemies change in unpredictable ways. Graphically, the game is impressive for its time. The detailed sprites and animations come close to the charm of the cartoons.

Unfortunately, the gameplay falls short, mainly due to the sluggish controls which can be quite frustrating at times. The hit detection also leaves much to be desired, causing the platform action not to flow as smoothly as it should. This can make playing the game feel a bit irritating, especially if you're used to more fluid platformers. The humour and visual style make it an appealing choice for Looney Tunes fans, but the inconsistent difficulty and mediocre controls can hinder the enjoyment.

If you're a fan of Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes, then Rabbit Rampage might still be worth a try. The charm and humour of the cartoons have been well translated into the game, which is commendable. But be prepared for some frustrating moments while playing. All in all, a mixed experience that may not be enjoyable for everyone.
